title is self explanatory, is it worth it? how often do u get a perfect modded weapon that goes for a lot?

It's rare to find items of value, but if you get a perfect wep, its gonna sell for alot. No chest run is worth it, its all luck.

At chest-weekend I was running alot and spend alot of money on keys.. but then I got Gothic Defender req.9 -2/+45hp.. justl like PvP shield.. sold for 100k+40ectos... its all about luck..

Well I used to fow chest run every day and I've probadly spent well over 350k on various keys for chest runs. With spending all that money and doing all those runs I've never gotten anything worth while from a chest except onces from a chest in the deep. So from personsal experience I find chest runs to be a waste of cash, but its all luck and I guess I'm not lucky.

Its true that its all about luck. I spent 50k on keys and got nothing at Raisu. I decided to spend my last 6k on 10 keys. My 10th key I got a req 8 15>50, 20/20, health +30 Oni Blade. Its all luck.

i have spent 200k + on shiver peaks keys :/ Lots of perfects.

I have also spent 200k+ on FoW keys. Got 1 15^50 chaos axe Then got scammed out of it :P I now pay attention to what people put in trade.

So I think its worth it I

Chestrunning IS worth it, you just have to figure out a way to earn yer keys back - wich is quite easy ! So I openend a wisdom title service ! all the golds I found ( and I got nothing but golds ^^ ) , I let ppl id for 1 - 1.5K
than I got them back + merch or resale

this way, I often tripled my money ( started out with 300k, now , I got my first fow armor...) , or even more
FoW ain't worth it tho I think ! takes too long, and by the time you get a perfect weapon with a rare skin :| I advice u to go outside port sledge ( if you are on european servers, go to port sledge german and get a 8 man team = always golds ! )
the chance that you'll get a fellblade is like 1 / 200 , wich is about the same as in fow

( I got 3 fellblades, including one req 9 15^50 ) and you can get feathery longbows, ivory bows, fds, perfect wands, dragon staves, ...

tho nowadays, it's hard to let golds id for 1 - 1.5K, with all the new services who do it for 600g :| ( I was one of the first here ! I think I even was the first

) , so I sell my crap golds ( req 12 earth staff or something ) unid for 1K

and shiverpeak keys are cheap

Use one of the fow solo guides, i got fow armor, 4 perfect chaos axes (drops) in 4 weeks, and tons of keys that i now sell to merchant cus i have no use for them since i got the 4 fow axes i would ever want,

to be honest, use one of the soloing guides and farm for shards, youll get keys and chests along the way

I never chest run in FoW because you will probably end up wasting a great amount of cash and when you finally get a good drop it won't get you back what you spent. Yes, you may get lucky and get a perfect drop but that is rare. \

When I chest run which is very rare I usually go for places that have good drops but less expensive keys.

I've opened 108 high end chests in the last month or so, 5 of those being Souther Shiverpeak chests and 103 being FOW.

Best thing from SSP: 15^50 Req9 Dragon Hornbow...

I never run FOW anymore. Ever since I went back to troll farming because I'm lazy, I made a pact with myself to only open SSP chests. Free keys (usually 1-2 per run) and no cost, yet the same chance of rare weapons and the drops from the Trolls, which are often golds themselves.

Chest running can be worth it if you get that one "godly" drop that can sell for 100k+XXX ectos, but what are the chances of that happening. My guildmate has opened nearly 2k chest and hasnt gotten anything worth over 80k or so. I opened nearly 300 chest and havent gotten anything worth selling. The key to chest running is finding a way to keep even after you buy keys. I normally salvage perfect mods and sell them. For example i couldve spent 15k on keys and got nothing but merchants junk but one drop had a 20/20 sundering sword hilt i get that and i sell it for about 40-50k now i made my money back from keys and made a profit also.

I have opened 600+ chest in one area of the shive peaks. It was ONLY golds for the first 400 or so. I was seling UNID for a while. I did make a large profit from this. Then the chest go to being purple.

I would run at granit cidital with DDF quest active. now i have to run with a group to get golds.
